I designed digital language learning activities & materials on the Lumi Platform, using H5P support.

I chose to create a photo album page that opens 360° images as if students look at their memories through the photos they took while traveling. Every image contains a video -students can either imagine as if they are the one who took that video or decided to go there after watching it- and personalized questions.
Group of Students: 6th graders – pre-intermediate level of English
Language Skills and Learning Outcomes:
- Listening: Students will be able to spot the activities about holidays in oral texts
- Spoken Interaction: Students will be able to talk about their holidays including past activities with simple past tense
- Writing: Students will be able to write a short and simple piece of a postcard about holidays.
Learning Type: Collaborative -as they will be in the classroom listening to each other along with role-playing-, but it can be transformed into self-regulated learning.
Assessment Criteria: This activity is a mix of formative and summative assessments. There are personal questions throughout this activity and I can monitor & respond to students’ answers in a formative way. Also, the aim is to help students learn and practice about holidays, past experiences, and the simple past tense -in an inductive way-. Additionally, this activity is summative as there are multiple tasks and a quiz to use at the end of the lesson. For example, the role-play with blanks can be specifically used for assessing students’ learning and performance. It will be like an output of what they have been doing in this lesson/activity. As my language skills and learning outcomes for this activity are related to listening, speaking, and writing about holidays and the simple past tense, the criteria for students are to be able to identify and share information about holidays, communicate their thoughts in L2 that can also display the comprehension of the simple past tense grammar. I think this activity will be practical and reliable while assessing students’ learning process.
